The Queensland Museum in Brisbane, Australia has recently reopened its doors to the public following a renovation project. It now has a number of fun, interactive attractions. In fact, the museum boasts that it has something for every member of the family.

The operas will be performed at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre from May 26-June 9, 2012. Tickets go on sale on November 21 and cost between $60 and $185.

The 5th annual Great Brisbane Duck Race will take place on October 30 at Riverside Drive. The event raises money for the PA Research Foundations cancer research at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. As many as 30,000 rubber ducks are expected to be floated down the 100m course.
